Life Story for Ruby "Nana" Broshears (Linsay)
Ruby “Nana” Broshears, 86, of Springfield, MO went home to be with the Lord surrounded by her loving family, on November 24, 2017. Ruby was born November 22, 1931 to Walter and Essie (Jordan) Lindsay. She was the 7th of 11 children, and grew up in the Lebanon area.
Ruby married Charlie Broshears May 03, 1948. To this union, they were blessed with two children, Jack and Kae. Charlie and Ruby shared 20 wonderful years prior to his sudden passing in 1968. Ruby loved gardening, bingo, taking trips to the casino, but most of all she loved her family. She was a member of the Eastern Star. Nana, as she was known by most, worked at her family’s electrical store – Broshears and Austin here in Springfield.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Charlie, 5 sisters and 3 brothers.
Left to mourn her passing are her children; Jack and wife Linda and Kae and husband Joe Barnhill, grand children; Jeff and wife Jami Salyers, Brad Salyers, Chris and wife Lindsay Broshears and Andrea Broshears, great grand children; Zac, McKenzi, McKayla, Charlotte, Joe and Ella, brothers; Gene and wife Lee Lindsay and Kenneth and wife Eva Lindsay, a host of nieces, nephews and countless friends. Nana will be missed by all the lives that were touched by her.
Family will receive friends and relatives on Tuesday November 28, 2017 from 5-7 p.m. at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel, 5234 W State Hwy EE (Division), Springfield.
